Pilgrim Door Knocker - Sibella Court

Sibella Court

The scallop is a sign used along the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage walk that has been trekked by thousands of travellers over the centuries. Pilgrims could find welcome refuge by looking for the scallop sign affixed or painted on a doorway.

I had this shape cast from a scallop shell I had amongst my library of objects, waiting for its reincarnation into a door knocker so that guests & friends may feel welcome stepping up to your doorstep.

Measurements: 11.5cm high x 13.5cm wide x 4cm deep.

Finish: aged brass plated. Comes with screws.
